COMMUNITY ACTION
Community Action has always been a meaningful part of JWC’s legacy.
Whether you're passionate about giving back or looking to earn Bickley points for
your group(s), there are countless ways to get involved and make a difference.
This year, we’re proud to partner with the Rainbow Room of Tarrant County!
The Rainbow Room is a vital resource offering immediate support to abused
and neglected children. Located on-site, this emergency supply center is stocked
with essential items that help Child Protective Services caseworkers assist families in crisis.
In many situations, these supplies make it possible for children to remain safely in their
homes while CPS works with families to create a path toward healing and stability.

Each year, the wonderful women of our Nouveau group take part in a
heartfelt tradition, “Adopt a Senior". Bringing joy and warmth to elderly residents living in local nursing homes. Many of these seniors have little
to no family and might not otherwise receive any Christmas presents.
With compassion and care, the Nouveau ladies work closely with nursing home staff to gather wish lists from the residents. Then, they thoughtfully
shop for gifts, lovingly wrap each one, and personally deliver them —
bringing not only presents, but smiles, conversation, and a sense of connection during the holiday season.
It’s a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness and community.
Last year, several of our incredible members showed their generous spirit
by participating in the Cook Children’s Blast 5K! Some laced up their shoes and joined the walk, while others selflessly volunteered their time to help run the event behind the scenes. Whether they were cheering on participants or keeping things organized, their involvement made a meaningful impact and reflected the heart of what JWC is all about!
